Emergency personnel say two workers have been critically injured in an apparent electrical explosion and fire at a biomass power plant in East Texas.
A dispatcher with the Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Department said the accident was reported around 8 a.m. Tuesday at a facility in Sacul, about 165 miles northeast of Houston.
A spokesman for Fagen Inc. of Granite Falls, Minn., which operates the unit, declined comment.
The fire has been extinguished but the cause remains under investigation, said Dispatcher Jerry Heilmann. He also said the two men injured were in critical condition when they were transported to a hospital.
A message left Tuesday morning at Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital was not immediately returned.
