Beekeeper Removes Bees From Tree in Wylie

A swarm of bees got a little too close to comfort in one Wylie neighborhood.

Paul Brooks says his wife spotted a swarm of bees in their tree. Brooks says the original hive formed in the eaves of their house last year and the colony split and a new hive formed in the tree.

Brooks says they will continue to host the original hive, for now, but they had a beekeeper come out to take care of the new hive.

A local beekeeper relocated the bees and gave Brooks a jar of honey.
