Roommate Sought for Bedford Woman's Murder

A judge has issued a capital murder warrant for the roommate of a 27-year-old woman who was found stabbed to death in a Bedford apartment Sunday.

Officers said they found the body of 27-year-old Tracy R. Anderson around 1:40 p.m. inside a residence on the 2500 block of Central Park Boulevard in Bedford.

Police said Anderson had been stabbed multiple times. Officers also said it appears the apartment had been entered by force.

According to police, Anderson was reportedly pregnant at the time of her death. That finding has yet to be confirmed by the medical examiner's office, police said.

In a news release on Sunday, police expressed concern for the safety of the apartment's other resident, 26-year-old Robert Atlas, and requested assistance in finding the man.

However, on Monday, a judge issued a capital murder warrant for Atlas. Police said his whereabouts were still unknown, but police believe he may be driving a silver 2011 Dodge Charger with temporary license tag 12M6970.

If you have any information on Atlas or this case, please call the Bedford Police Department at 817-952-2127.
