Baby Giraffe Born At Glen Rose Wildlife Center

A North Texas wildlife center is excited to announce the birth of a new giraffe calf last week.

The Fossil Rim Wildlife Center in Glen Rose posted on its Facebook page Wednesday, saying its resident giraffe, "Nettie," gave birth to her third calf.

They said the entire birth took about two-and-a-half hours and everything went smoothly.

"He is cute as a button," said Giraffe Caretaker Molly Shea.

As far as we know, there's been no name chosen for the new calf yet, but we'll keep you updated if we find that out.
