Azle Student Seeks School Board Seat

Senior cites ‘unique perspective’

Most graduating high school seniors want to put distance between themselves and their old campuses.

Not so 18-year-old Moses Druxman of Azle High School.

He wants to win Saturday’s election and become the District 1 trustee on the Azle School Board.

Evidently the boy did not receive a quality education. OK, no, no, just kidding, there, folks.

Anyway, in a Fort Worth Star Telegram article published Tuesday, he cited three major qualifications for the job.

He knows the “district in and out,” and he must be thinking of a burger joint new to the region, he is “a precious product of the school system” — [blink] mmmkaay — and he “can bring an unusual and unique prospective to the board," likely referencing his previous work on various district committees rather than his “unique” perspective as a graduating senior.

Then again, maybe not. None of the other three candidates — Dennis Kraft, Heather Pack, and Scott Parnell, by way of equal time — has the immediate-graduating-senior perspective.

Will that sway voters? Guess we’ll have to wait until Saturday night to find out. If not, he’s always got the McGruff the Crime Dog gig to fall back on.
