A woman reported missing in Azle has been found, police say.
Officials said the woman, 61-year-old Donna Johnstone of Springtown, was found at about 1 p.m. along the 200 block of South Broadway near Eagle Mountain Lake.
Police with K-9 units searched overnight and throughout the day for the woman after she was reported missing following a doctor's appointment Monday afternoon.
Officers found her abandoned car at about midnight and believed she was somewhere in the area on foot. Her family said they received a phone call from her at about 1 a.m. and that she sounded confused and disoriented.
A family spokesperson told the AzleNews that the woman had surgery about 10 days ago and that a pain pump and medication had left her confused. According to the report, she had no previous signs of dementia and had become disoriented while returning from her doctor's appointment in Dallas.
Johnstone was taken to an area hospital for evaluation.
