A preliminary autopsy report states a slain member of a Central Texas police department was seven months pregnant when she was shot three times in the head.
The report also states the bullets were small-caliber, but didn't give any further indication of the type of weapon used.
A Bastrop County sheriff's deputy found last Wednesday the body of 27-year-old Samantha Dean lying next to a car behind a vacant two-story building.
Dean, who lived in Austin, worked as a victims-services coordinator for the Kyle Police Department. She worked there for about two years.
Her funeral is set for Friday in San Antonio. No arrests have been announced yet in her death.
