Two Men Dead After SUV Crashed Into Tree: Dallas Police

Police said at two men were killed when a vehicle crashed into a tree in Dallas Tuesday morning.

Dallas police said a witness reported seeing a Saturn SUV that had crash in the 2800 block of Sargent Road between midnight and 5:45 a.m.

The witness found two unresponsive males inside the SUV and called 911, according to authorities. Dallas Fire-Rescue responded and pronounced both men dead at the scene.

Investigators said they determined the SUV was traveling south on Sargent Road at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control. The SUV began to spin and struck the tree with the driver-side door.

Both men apparently died upon impact, according to police. Neither man had identification.

Police said they don't know if the driver lost control due to water on the road.
