Plano police say they've made an arrest in connection with a fatal shooting on Tree House Lane.[[352338561,R]]
Officials said Wednesday that 21-year-old Jaylen Radell Johnson, of Little Elm, is facing a murder charge in connection with the fatal shooting of 18-year-old Monterick Deyonta Payne.
Johnson, police said, was arrested Sunday and is currently being held in the Collin County Detention Center on $250,000 bond.
Payne was outside a home in the 1900 block of Tree House Lane when he was shot in the abdomen at about 7:30 p.m. Thursday, police said. He ran to a nearby home for help after the shooting where a neighbor called 911. He was rushed to an area hospital where he died the next day.
On Tuesday, three others connected to the incident were arrested Tuesday and charged with aggravated robbery, police said. Those are: 21-year-old Giovanni Christopher Rhodes, of Frisco; 17-year-old Daniel Chibuikem Ijioma, of Little Elm; and 17-year-old Katlyn Denise Straw, of Frisco.
Plano police did not say how the three charged with aggravated robbery are connected to the murder.
