Arlington police say three people suffered minor injuries in a shooting on the city's east side Wednesday afternoon.
At about 2:30 p.m., police were called to the 1100 block of East Arkansas Lane on a shooting call.
In a news conference shortly before 4 p.m., police said that as officers drove to the scene they received a description from witnesses of a Chevrolet Suburban involved in the shooting.
A vehicle matching the witnesses descriptions was stopped by police near Daniel Drive and Pioneer Parkway. Inside were 10 people, all young adults, three of whom had been shot.
The three that were injured were transported to Medical City Hospital in Arlington with minor gunshot wounds. Two of the victims had been shot in the leg while the third was shot in the back. None of the injuries are considered to be life-threatening, police said.
Officials said none of the nearby schools were locked down due to the shooting and investigation.
It is not clear where the victims had been prior to the shooting. Police initially said the shooting took place behind a bingo hall, but the manager of that hall said that wasn't accurate. Police were also seen at a nearby beauty supply store.

Police have released few other details, such as motive or if any arrests have been made, as the investigation into the shootings is ongoing.
