Arlington Police Rescue Kitten Stuck Under Car

Arlington police on Tuesday proved cats really do have nine lives, or at least one lucky kitty does.

While pulling out of a business at East Pioneer Parkway and South Collins Street, officers Phillips and Kidd were flagged down by a driver stopped at the intersection.

The driver said a kitten had run underneath his vehicle.

Officers found the orange tabby kitten wedged between the rear wheel and brake rotor, refusing to come out, said Officer Kidd.

Luckily, they were able to take off the rear wheel and let the kitten out.

The tiny feline ended up darting underneath another nearby car while officers were waiting for animal control to arrive.

But, he was eventually caught and taken to the shelter.

Animal control officers said the fierce little tabby possibly had heat exhaustion and was dehydrated, but otherwise is expected to be OK.
