Arlington Police Investigating Road Rage Shooting

Arlington police are investigating an apparent road rage shooting that took place the city's southeast side Friday afternoon.

Police said a driver called 911 at about 2:30 p.m. saying he had been shot while driving southbound on state Highway 360 near the exit ramp for westbound Interstate 20. 

The driver told police another motorist pulled up next to him, pointed a gun at him and shot at his car.

The victim has non life-threatening injuries and is expected to survive, police said.

The I-20 exit ramp from southbound SH 360 was closed for about two hours while police conducted their investigation.   Drivers are warned to expect delays in the area through rush hour.

At this time, the investigation is ongoing and police have not released a description of the gunman's vehicle.
