Arlington Fights $3.1 Million Budget Shortfall

The city of Arlington is cutting 16 full-time staffing positions in an attempt to slash $1.5 million from the city budget.

Currently, 12 of those positions are vacant.

The remaining four positions will not be cut until April.

Officials with the city of Arlington said they expect a $3.1 million budget shortfall this year due to declining sales taxes and other revenue.
