Arkansas Fisherman Drowns at Lake Worth

A 50-year-old man from Arkansas fell out of a boat and drowned at Lake Worth on Saturday evening.

The Fort Worth Fire Department identified the drowning victim as 50-year-old Donald Kell of Searcy, Arkansas.

The department said he was visiting the lake with family and friends when he tried to reset a fishing line. Kell was 400 feet from shore when fell out of a rented kayak. He drowned in a part of the water that was 8-feet deep.

The fire department was dispatched around 5:30 p.m. Divers ran into some difficulty because they became entangled in the fishing line. The dive team recovered Kell's body at 6:30 p.m.
