American Eagle Flight 3277 was delayed Friday morning after a box cutter was found on the plane at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.
American Airlines said the box cutter was found during the boarding process on the Embraer 145's second flight of the day.
The plane flew to DFW Airport from Tyler and was on its way to Louisville with 31 passengers and three crew members on board when the box cutter was discovered in an overhead bin.
One passenger posted the finding on Twitter.
Should I really tweet about the box cutter blade that someone just found in the overhead bin? — kokoe2 (@kokoe2) October 18, 2013
Matt Miller with American Airlines said passengers were rescreened and the plane was thoroughly checked and nothing was found before it was allowed to take off just before 9 a.m.
