North Richland Hills police said a 5-year-old boy that was allegedly abducted by his non-custodial mother has been found safe.
Police said Jagger Curry, 5, was taken by his mother, Jennifer Lynne Echeverria, 30, on Friday. Echeverria is only allowed to have supervised visits with her son. Curry lives with his maternal grandmother, Echeverria's mother, who is his custodial guardian.
According to police, Echeverria entered her mother's home in the 9200 block of Glen Haven Court in North Richland Hills around 8 a.m. Friday. At some point later in the morning, police said Echeverria threatened her mother with a knife and demanded to take Curry from the home.
Police said Echeverria and Curry left the home in her mother's car a silver Lexus RX 300 with Texas license plate Z01-YB.
Curry was found safe around 11:30 a.m. Friday and Echeverria was taken into custody by police around that time.
Jagger Curry is described as being a 5-year-old white male standing 3-foot, 6-inches tall and weighing about 40 pounds. He was last seen wearing a blue T-shirt, grey pajama pants with a white stripe, and cowboy boots.
Jennifer Lynne Echeverria is described as being a 30-year-old white female standing 5-foot, 9-inches tall and weighing about 140 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a black short-sleeved T-shirt and jeans. Echeverria is also described as having tattoos of angel wings with eyes on the inside of both arms and a star on the back of her neck.

According to police records obtained by NBC 5, Echeverria was previously charged with possession of marijuana while in Dallas County in 2003. She was also previously charged with criminal mischief in North Richland Hills in 2012.
