Allen Family Outraged Over Teen's ‘Take Down' at School

Allen family members say they are outraged after seeing the way a school resource officer treated their son, and Allen police say they will conduct an internal investigation.

Video of the incident was posted online shortly after it happened Tuesday morning.

It shows Kendle Wesley being held down by a school resource officer at Lowry Freshman Center in Allen.

A security officer then pushes the teen's head to the ground before Wesley is handcuffed.

Wesley says he was walking down a hall when the officer approached him.

"It was a take down, like he literally pushed me to the ground. He wasn't trying to kneel me to the ground or anything. I was pushed to the ground for basically no reason," Wesley said.

Allen police spokesman Sgt. Jon Felty said the department will conduct a full professional standards internal investigation starting Wednesday morning.
