AAA Survey Finds Retail Gas Prices Up By 13 Cents in Texas

Retail gasoline prices have risen sharply across Texas after months of declines.

AAA Texas on Thursday reported the average price at the pump rose by 13 cents, settling at $1.98 per gallon.

The national average for unleaded is $2.15 per gallon.

The most expensive gasoline this week in Texas was in Dallas and Fort Worth at $2 per gallon. San Antonio has the cheapest at $1.92.

AAA says gas prices have increased due to a combination of refinery maintenance and upgrades in the Midwest and because crude oil prices are trading at more stable levels.
