911 Service Restored in Carrollton

Emergency calls being routed through Addison

The Carrollton Police Department said 911 service has been restored and non-emergency lines are back up across the city.

Crews addressed the outage and service was restored Wednesday night.

During the outage Carrollton police were still able to receieve and respond to emergency calls, which were routed through the City of Addison.

"If you call 911 and are answered by Addison Dispatch, please do not hang up. If you need to call our non-emergency number about a matter, please wait until our phone services are restored. Thank you for your patience," Carrollton police said in a news release early Wednesday.

The cause of the outage has not been revealed.
