It's day 3 of the 2017 State Fair of Texas. Here's 5 things you need to know before heading to the fair on Saturday.
- The 2017 State Fair of Texas "Let's Do Lunch" Competition. This competition is held in the Creative Arts Competition Kitchen. There are 7 different categories including vegetable salad, pasta salad, potato salad, meat / seafood salad, any dessert, meatless quiche & meat / seafood quiche. The judging takes place at 10:30 Sunday morning.
- Majesty of the Horse - Horseman Jerry Diaz shows off the majesty & Beauty of the Horse. There are four shows on Sunday, 1 p.m., 2 p.m., 5 p.m. & 6 p.m. You can find this show in the Ranch Arena next to the Children's Health Barnyard.
- You can also check out the Milking Parlor Demo next to the band shell. There are 8 show times on Sunday, 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m., 3:30 p.m., 4:30 p.m., 5:30 p.m., & 6:30 p.m.
- Xpogo Extreme Sports - This extreme show features two pogo professionals showing off their skills with gravity-defying tricks, flips and spins. There are four shows on Sunday, 11:30 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m. & 4:30 p.m. You can find the show at the Extreme Sports Zone near the Chevrolet Ride & Drive.
- La Mafia will be on the Chevrolet Main Stage at 5:30 p.m. The best part, admission to the show is included with your daily state fair admission.
