It's Day 11 of the 2017 State Fair of Texas. Here's 5 things you need to know before heading to the fair on Monday.
- Start the day off at Creative Arts Kitchen for the Southern Comfort Food Competition. There's all the favorites from fried chicken to banana pudding. The competition gets started at 9 a.m. with judging at 10:30 a.m.
- Next you can head over to the Women's Museum and the Guerrero, Mexico exhibit. There's Artistry, folklore and majestic treasures. The exhibit is open from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m.
- You may be ready for some entertainment by now and the Wild West Pet Palooza at the Band Shell has you covered. There's 4 show times, 1 p.m., 2:30 p.m., 4:30 p.m. & 6 p.m.
- The United States Marines Drum & Bugle Corps will perform at 4 p.m. You can catch the performance at Marine Corps Square.
- The Chevrolet Main Stage will also be hopping on Monday. That's because Daya will be performing at 5:30 p.m. She's a 17-year-old high school junior from Pittsburgh.
