4-Year-Old Girl Found Dead in Family's Suburban

Johnson County sheriff's deputies are investigation the apparent accidental death of a 4-year-old girl near Lake Pat Cleburne.

Lilly Parsons had been missing for an hour and a half before she was found inside the family's Suburban around 9 p.m. in the 1200 block of West Lake Road.

"Lilly somehow got outside and no one knew it," Lilly's grandfather Curt Parsons said.

Parsons said his granddaughter had "a tendency lately to hide" and her mother, nanny and 6-year-old sister went looking for her.

"They looked in that Suburban two or three times, but did not spot her down behind the second seat with the flap pulled over her," said Curt Parsons.

According to the Johnson County sheriff it appears the girl suffocated.

The death appears to be an accident according to the Johnson County Sheriff, and could not be determined if heat played a role in the girl's death.

CPS said there are three other children at the home; an 8-year-old boy, who was with his grandparents Monday night, a 6-year-old girl and a 10-day-old baby girl.

There have been no CPS investigations at that address.
