Dallas police are searching for four people they say attempted to steal an ATM out of a convenience store.[[346987442,C]]
Four masked, hooded and gloved individuals backed a silver, four-door Dodge pickup truck to a Chevron gas station in the 1600 block of Regal Row just before 4 a.m. Thursday, according to officers.
Two of them exited the vehicle and shattered the front door window of the business.
Once inside, the pair wrapped a chain around the ATM, got back in the truck and attempted to pull the machine out of the store. But the chain broke, which caused the individuals to drive away, without the ATM.
An employee was inside the store at the time of the offense, but wasn't injured.
