Police in Dallas say three people were hurt in a wrong-way crash in Dallas early Sunday morning.
Officers were called at 3:17 a.m. to a crash on Dallas North Tollway, near Oak Lawn Avenue.
According to police, a white Volkswagen Jetta was heading north in the Southbound lanes of the tollway when it struck a Volvo sedan. The Volkswagen had traveled approximated six blocks before the crash happened, officers said.
The driver and passenger of the Volkswagen were taken to Parkland Hospital with non-serious injuries.
The driver of the Volvo was taken to Baylor Hospital with undisclosed injuries.
The driver of the Volkswagen will be charged with driving while intoxicated.
The southbound lanes of the Dallas North Tollway were closed for about an hour and a half.
