Victims Identified in Triple Fatal Crash in Fort Worth

Head-on crash leaves three adults killed, 2 children hospitalized

A North Texas family is grieving an unimaginable loss: a mother and father killed in a crash that sent their two children to the hospital.

The wrong-way crash happened about 8 p.m. Tuesday night on Farm-to-Market Road 156, also known as Blue Mound Road, north of Intermodal Parkway.

According to Fort Worth police, Todd Thomas, 29, was heading north on the two-lane road and tried to pass a car. When he ran out of time, he hit another vehicle head-on.

Thomas died at the scene along with a couple in the car he struck: 34-year-old Crystal Haskins and 38-year-old Deshawn Moreio, according to medical examiner records.

The couple's two daughters were rushed to Cook Children's in Fort Worth, one of them in critical condition. According to police, the girls are ages 10 and 13 years old.

A family member has started a gofundme page to help with the girls' medical expenses.

A Haslet firefighter told NBC 5 the stretch of road is known for accidents.

Fort Worth police say it's best to be careful.

"Just to slow down and just be extra cautious, especially when it's nighttime or when it's a two-lane road. You know our hearts are with the two victims," said Officer Ivan Gomez.
