A 3-year-old girl found nearly drowned Monday at a Fort Worth apartment complex has died, police confirmed Thursday.
“We haven’t filed any charges yet,” Sgt. Pedro Criado said Thursday.
He declined to give any further information on the case.
Police were called to the Wild Branch Apartments in the 2800 block of Watermark Court in Fort Worth on Monday after a 911 call that a 3-year-old girl had drowned in a bathtub.
Her mother’s boyfriend was babysitting the toddler while her mother was at work, police said.
When officers got to the scene, they quickly realized the little girl was still alive, but in critical condition.
She was rushed to Cook Children’s’ Medical Center where she died Wednesday morning, police said.

Neither police nor the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the girl.
