2nd Person Arrested in Killing of 79-Year-Old Texas Woman

Police say a second person has been arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing and beating of a 79-year-old Houston-area woman earlier this month.

Hedwig Village police Chief David Gott said Friday that 22-year-old Timesha Wilson will be charged with capital murder. Earlier this week, 55-year-old Michael Susberry was charged with capital murder in the death of Janeil Bernard, whose body was found at her home on July 3.

Susberry was the son of Bernard's longtime housekeeper and friend. Police believe robbery was the motive.

Gott said Wilson gave police a statement admitting she was present, but denying any part in the crime.

Wilson was being held at Hedwig Village jail on Friday. It was unclear if she had an attorney yet.
