2.7 Magnitude Earthquake Reported in Dallas County

    An unusual number of earthquakes have been reported in the Irving area since Oct. 28, 2014.

    For the 11th time in less than two months an earthquake has shaken Dallas County near Irving.

    The U.S. Geological Survey, which measures and records seismic activity, reported the 2.7 magnitude earthquake at 6 a.m. Monday near along Century Center Boulevard, east of the former site of Texas Stadium.

    There have been no reports of damage or injuries associated with this latest earthquake.

    The earthquake is the 11th registered in Irving and the 12th in North Texas since Oct. 28. A Google map showing the quake locations is embedded below.
