Two Dallas police officers were hospitalized after a crash along Northwest Highway in Garland Friday morning, police say.
It happened before 5:30 a.m. at the Yeager Drive intersection.
According to police, the officer driving a marked squad car failed to yield the right of way at a flashing red stop light. The squad car collided with a Mitsubishi Outlander traveling eastbound on Northwest Highway, which had a flashing yellow light.
The two officers were taken to a hospital for evaluation. The driver of the Mitsubishi was not injured, police said.
A portion of Northwest Highway was closed as of 6:15 a.m. The road has since reopened.
