2 Men Struck, Killed While Repairing Disabled Car on LBJ: Police

Two men were killed when their disabled car was struck by another vehicle on LBJ Freeway early Thursday morning, police say.

At about 1:30 a.m., a 35-year-old man, identified by the Dallas County Medical Examiner's Office as Hector Luna-Rodriguez, was working underneath a disabled sedan in the Coit Road exit lane when the vehicle was struck from behind by an oncoming SUV, police said.

Investigators said the impact pushed the disabled sedan forward, dragging the man underneath the car. The sedan also struck a second man, identified as 18-year-old Abraham Reza-Dominguez, who had been standing in front of the vehicle when it was hit.

Both men were pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the SUV, a 26-year-old man whose identity has not yet been released, was not hurt.

It is not yet clear if the man will face any charges.
