Two police chases broke out after Grand Prairie officers spotted a group of cars allegedly street racing Sunday night.
One of the drivers took Grand Prairie police on westbound Interstate 30. The vehicle started smoking and eventually broke down. The driver pulled over onto the shoulder near the Hulen Street exit, police said.
Both drivers were taken into custody.
There were no injuries or accidents reported.
