Police identified the bodies of two adults found dead inside a Collin County home late Tuesday morning, according to police. [[389669201,C]]
Officers responded to the home in the 3000 block of Hickory Ridge in Melissa to perform a welfare check at about 11:30 a.m. and found the bodies of two adults.
Police said 33-year-old Karen Ann Ralston had sustained a shotgun wound on her upper chest.
The other body found was identified as 41-year-old John Paul Gaynor. Police said he had sustained a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
The victims were last seen on Saturday.
"Our hearts are broken, and our families will never be the same," Gaynor's mother Janene Gaynor and sistere Lauren Gill said in a statement. "We have been so humbled by the grace and love shown by our Christian community, especially by Karen’s family.
