The Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association has arrested two men involved in the theft of livestock in Hopkins County earlier this month.
Authorities said 22-year-old Landon Dee Hamess and 21-year-old Lane Wesley Keller, of Sulphur Springs, stole 12 head of cattle from a property in the northern portion of the county.
Surveillance video revealed the men used feed to lure the cattle onto trailers where they were later transported to Oklahoma to be sold.
Harness and Keller have been released on bond, but both face third-degree felony charges of theft of cattle.
The investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be added as investigators work to determine is if there is any relation to other cattle thefts in the area.
The cattle are expected to return back to their owners.
