Christina Morris

2 Years & 1 Trial Later: Search for Morris Continues

Christina Morris was last seen on surveillance video at the Shops at Legacy in Plano at 3:55 am on August 30, 2014.

Now, 2 years later at 7:30 am on a Saturday morning, her father Mark and several of her friends gathered again in the Allen High School parking lot. The group dressed in rain boots, some carrying walking sticks to navigate rough terrain, and as ready to search as if the 23 year-old had just got missing yesterday.

“We never stopped,” said Mark as he organized the group and prepared them for their search at a near-by, undisclosed location.

Saturday was the group’s first search since Enrique Arochi, the last person seen with Morris, was convicted of her kidnapping and sentenced to life in prison. They took a break from the “boots on the ground” effort just long enough for the trial to play out.

With that chapter closed though, they said the effort must continue.

Mark Morris said Saturday’s group was the largest search party they’d seen in quite some time.

The group performing the weekly searches in an effort to keep covering new areas; hoping to find any sign of Christina they can.

They said while a lot of time has passed, their approach remains the same.

Many still have Christina’s face on the side of their vehicles with contacts for anyone who might have information.

Her friends still maintain social media groups as well to keep Morris in the public’s memory and keep efforts to find her mobilized.

2 years later, they said they don’t plan to let her disappearance go unsolved, and Mark said he will see she is found no matter how many early Saturday mornings he has to search.

"Until we find her, or until people stop coming, but I'll keep doing it; be here every week,” said Morris.

Anyone with information in Christina Morris’s disappearance is asked to call the Plano Police Department or Crime Stoppers at 877-373-TIPS.
