2-Story Apartment Fire Damages 8 Residences

Dallas firefighters were busy early Christmas morning battling a 2-story apartment fire.

Officials said Thursday morning that the fire broke out on the 8100 block of Scyene Circle before 6 a.m.

Flames were reportedly shooting through the roof of the building at the Bella Vista Creek Apartments, where firefighters told NBC 5 flames moved through the walls before climbing up into the attic.

Firefighters had to knock down some doors to rescue some of the residents of the community.

Firefighter said the fire started between the walls, though the exact cause has not yet been determined.

Initial reports indicate eight residences have been damaged in the fire. It is not yet known how many people have been displaced due to the fire.

No injuries have been reported.
