Police said two people are dead after a head-on collision in Cleburne Wednesday morning.
Cleburne police said 59-year-old Kathy Heingin — driving a 2014 Ford Focus — was trying to pass a tanker truck heading west in the 5500 block of Farm-to-Market Road 4 when she collided with a 2003 Hyundai Santé Fe heading east at about 5:15 a.m.
The driver of the Hyundai — 27-year-old Juan Juarez — died at the scene, officials said. Heingin was taken by air ambulance to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth where she died.
No other injuries were reported.
The road was blocked for nearly two hours while crews cleared the scene.
