Police say a wrong-way driver crashed into a car in Oak Cliff Friday night, critically injuring himself and the other driver.

According to police, the driver of a 2005 Honda Accord was speeding in the westbound lanes of Fort Worth Avenue at about 7 p.m. The man drove over a median into oncoming traffic, colliding head-on with a 1998 Acura.

The man driving the Honda and the woman driving the Acura were rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

Police said the driver of the Acura had a 2-year-old in a car seat that wasn't properly secured. The toddler was not injured, but was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

Two passengers in the Honda had non-life threatening injuries.
