2 Charged in Death of Man Burned in SUV

Two suspects have been arrested in the slaying of a North Texas man who last summer reported a teen dead on his doorstep in a failed robbery.

The Johnson County Sheriff's Office says Dean Allen Walden and Joseph Robert Dodson are charged with capital murder. The body of Fort Worth businessman Robert Excell Dodson II was discovered Oct. 28 in a burning SUV near Godley.

The sheriff's office says the Dodsons are not related.

Joseph Dodson was being held Friday without bond. Walden was jailed on $250,000 bond. The sheriff's office Friday did not immediately provide information on attorneys for them.

Two men who allegedly were with her been indicted over her death.

Coincidentally, Hidic, whose story made national headlines, would have celebrated her 18th birthday the same day Dodson's body was found, the Star-Telegram reported.
