2 Arrested After Dump Truck Rolls Off Wyoming Highway

Authorities say they have arrested two men who crashed a dump truck on a Wyoming highway and tried to flee from the wreck scene.

The Jackson Hole News and Guide reports the truck filled with roofing materials rolled off State Highway 22 near the base of Teton Pass on Monday.

Nails and other roofing items were strewn across the highway.

Wyoming Highway Trooper Damon Bowen says the men were not injured, and they got into a van and drove off.

Authorities pulled the van over about a mile down the road and brought the men back to the crash.

Authorities say the men, both of Lewisville, were not licensed to drive and were charged with leaving the scene of an accident, failure to report an accident and no seat belts.

The newspaper did not give their names.

The truck, which has Oklahoma plates, was totaled and lacked a commercial transportation number, according to troopers.
