18-Year-Old Struck by Vehicle on I-30: Fort Worth Police

An 18-year-old man was running on Interstate 30 in Fort Worth when he was struck by a vehicle early Wednesday morning, police said. [[319424991,C]]

Officers responded to call about the man running down I-30 near Summit Avenue at 3:37 a.m., according to Fort Worth Police Department spokesman Daniel Segura.

While en route, police said a driver called police and said he thought he struck a pedestrian who was on the interstate. The driver did not know where the pedestrian was.

Officers found the pedestrian in the 2400 block of West Freeway lying on the inside shoulder. Police said he was in grave condition and transported to a hospital. His condition is not known.

No further details were released.
