16 Indicted After Investigation into N. Texas Heroin Ring

10 arrested, charged with conspiracy to distribute

Authorities say 16 people have been indicted in an undercover investigation of a heroin ring operating in North Texas.

U.S. Attorney John Bales says the investigation began in July of 2011 and a sealed indictment was returned Dec. 14.

Prosecutors on Friday announced the arrest of 10 people charged with conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute heroin in the McKinney area.

On Tuesday, a task force of 55 federal, state and local law enforcement officers conducted the round-up of the following individuals.

Ernest Michael Diaz, 19, of McKinney
Teresa Rodriguez, 26, of McKinney
Santiago Adri Sepulveda, 20, of McKinney
Joe Diaz, 27, of McKinney
Ricardo Julio Castillo, Jr., 20, of McKinney
Michael Angel Padron, 18, of McKinney
Oscar K. Montoyo-Castillo, 21, of McKinney
Nancy Aleida Granados, 27, of Dallas
Steven Wiliam Taylor, 20, of McKinney
Brittany Leanne Vollweiler, 22, of Van Alstyne

If convicted, they each face up to 40 years in federal prison.
