15th of 20 Accused of Raping Girl Pleads Guilty

A 20-year-old man has taken a 15-year prison sentence after agreeing to plead guilty to his part in the gang rape of an 11-year-old Southeast Texas girl.

Jamarcus Norris Napper entered his plea Thursday in state district court in Liberty. He was among 14 adults and six juveniles accused of raping the girl over three months in 2010.

The rapes happened at a vacant trailer house in Cleveland, 45 miles northeast of Houston.

Napper is the 15th of 20 defendants charged in the case to be convicted in the case.

His agreement to the plea deal comes after 20-year-old Jared Len Cruse received a 99-year prison sentence and 21-year-old Eric Bernard McGowen was sentence to life.
