14-Pound Bass Caught in Lake Amon G. Carter

One of the biggest bass of the season was recently caught in a North Texas lake.

Johnny Spuriell caught the nearly 14-pound largemouth bass from Lake Amon G. Carter Tuesday morning.

The bass will be entered into the Texas Parks and Wildlife competition for largest fish. The bass will also be submitted to the Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center's Toyota ShareLunker Program.

Anyone legally catching a 13-pound-plus largemouth bass from Texas waters may submit the fish to the program.

Those fish submitted are used to breed other fish and the offspring are then placed back into the lake. Click here for more about the ShareLunker Program.
