100 Guinea Pigs Abandoned in Arlington

Arlington police want to find the person who abandoned 100 guinea pigs outside the city's animal shelter.

50 female guinea pigs in wire cages were found near the entrance to the shelter on Tuesday, and on Wednesday workers found 50 male guinea pigs in cages.

Because the animals were left while the shelter was closed, it's considered a crime.

Meanwhile, the shelter's veterinarian says the guinea pigs are in good health and ready for adoption.

The adoption fee is $7.
