10 Injured When Oklahoma Land Run Wagon Topples

Five elementary students are hospitalized after a horse and buggy rolled over during a history lesson in Mustang, Okla., Tuesday.

Emergency crews were called to the 700 block of  S. Czech Hall Road shortly after 1:30 p.m. when police received a call saying a horse and buggy had collided with children near Centennial Park.

The students, from Centennial Elementary School, were taking part in a history lesson connected with the 125th annivesary of the Oklahoma Land Run.  Apparently a horse broke away from the wagon, causing it to topple.

On board the wagon were nine students and two teachers, 10 of which were injured.

All of the injured are expected to recover.
