Lewisville police say three people were sent to the hospital after a car smashed into a Starbucks Wednesday afternoon.[[364413961,R]]
The crash happened at the Starbucks at 721 Hebron Parkway at about 1:50 p.m.
According to Lewisville police, the driver of a 2015 Subaru hatchback ran a red light while traveling westbound on Hebron Parkway. The Subaru struck an SUV at the intersection of Lakeside Circle before smashing into a minivan, the according to the statement.
Police said the Subaru veered off the roadway, across the parking lot, and through the front doors of the Starbucks.
Three people inside the Starbucks were taken to nearby hospitals with non-serious injuries, according to police.
Police said the investigation into the crash was ongoing.
