Authorities said one person is dead and another injured after police chased a vehicle near the campus of Southern Methodist University in Dallas late Sunday night.
Officials said SMU police pursued the driver of a Chevy pickup they said was driving recklessly on campus near Bishop Street and University Boulevard at about 9:55 p.m. Sunday.
Authorities said the officers were about to terminate the pursuit when the driver of the truck ran a light and collided with a Ford pickup near the intersection of Mockingbird Lane and Mockingbird Station.
One person was taken to a nearby hospital, according to police, another died.
Police have not said which driver was killed and have not released the identities of those involved in the crash.
