Police in Argyle say a man is charged with the fatal shooting of another man after an argument turned physical early Monday morning.[[437642383,R]]
Officers responded to reports of a shooting at about 4:20 a.m. in the 700 block of Cypress Street.
Police found a man, in his 50s, deceased from an apparent gunshot wound. His identity was not immediately released.
According to an arrest affidavit, Ryan Matthews, 31, told police he had gotten in a physical altercation with the man, who held him in a headlock. Matthews reached for a gun and shot the man in the neck before calling 911, police said.

Matthews had been performing CPR on the man when officers arrived at the home, the affidavit said.
Matthews was charged with murder and transported to the Denton County Jail.
