1 Wichita Falls Escapee Still at Large

One of four inmates who escaped from the Wichita County Jail Annex remains at large.

Sheriff David Duke said Friday that the search continues for 19-year-old Deonte Marquis Combs.

Combs, who was held on assault and drug charges, and three others turned up missing Thursday morning during a routine count. Authorities believe the four slipped through some bars and a vent to the roof at the Wichita County Jail Annex, which is undergoing construction.

The other three escapees were caught later Thursday.

Jimmy Noel Hughes had been jailed on charges of aggravated sexual assault of a child. James Thomas McLendon was held on a burglary charge. Daniel Cicilio Ramos was in custody on criminal mischief and burglary charges.
