A man was shot and another was injured during an altercation at a bar in Fort Worth early Monday morning, police say.

Officers responded to a shooting call on the 200 block of Riverside Drive just after 2:40 a.m. where witnesses told them there had been a shooting -- but no shooting victims were found.

Police said they did find a man who had been assaulted with an unknown object. He was transported to a hospital.

While officers were at the hospital, a 51-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds arrived by private vehicle at about 2:50 a.m. Police said they determined he had been shot at the bar.

The shooting victim was treated for injuries that were not life threatening.

Investigators said a physical altercation in the parking lot of the bar led to the shooting.
